Hanakotoba 2 2024 recap

Hanakotoba 2 at OTTO Car Club was a memorable evening that seamlessly combined art and automotive design in a personal and meaningful way. For me, this event reflected the balance of life—honoring the beauty in our creations, nurturing the connections we form, and carrying forward the stories we hold dear.

The event's highlight was seeing two Porsche race cars transformed into moving works of art, their floral liveries telling stories of love, resilience, and reflection. It was thrilling to witness the intersection of sleek automotive engineering and the symbolism of flowers, creating something entirely unique.

Alongside the cars, my newest collection of paintings explored themes of presence and appreciation, focusing on the fleeting beauty of flowers. These pieces felt like a natural continuation of the Hanakotoba story, reminding me—and hopefully the audience—of the importance of slowing down and finding connection in small, meaningful moments. Witnessing people engage with the artwork, share their thoughts, and connect through art was a powerful reminder of my gratitude for the opportunity to create.

For me, Hanakotoba 2 wasn't just about showing art—it was about starting conversations, creating experiences, and celebrating the intrinsic value of human connection. Thank you to everyone who made it such a memorable night. I'm honored to have shared this journey with you.

Up next is the highly anticipated unveiling of the private commissions Tapestry of Time and Messenger of Time.
